Breakfast Pizza

It might not strictly be pizza, but it certainly makes a hearty breakfast according to our Design Director, Alix.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb pork sausage (removed from casings)
  2. 1 puff pastry sheet
  3. 2 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  4. 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  5. 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  6. 6 eggs
  7. 1/4 cup milk
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 1/8 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. In a skillet cook sausage until brown, drain of excess fat
  2. Roll out puff pastry dough onto a baking sheet. Crimp edges to form a crust (to prevent the egg from running out later on)
  3. Spoon sausage over puff pastry
  4. Sprinkle with potatoes
  5. Top with cheddar cheese
  6. In a bowl beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour onto puff pastry very slowly, making sure none of it runs over the edges
  7. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top
  8. Bake in a 375ºF oven for 25–30 min
  9. Enjoy!
